Piquee Privacy Policy

At Piquee, we believe in fun with friends, and that includes protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information in our social quiz app.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide:

• Account & Profile: Username, profile photo, bio, and demographic info you choose to share (like birth year for age-gating).
• Quiz Data: The answers you give to quizzes, your results, and the badges you earn. This is the core of your Piquee "Archive."
• Social & Squad Activity: Messages, images, and reactions you share in your squads; the list of users in your squads; records of PK challenges and their outcomes.
• Contact Information: If you choose to find friends via your device's contacts (with your permission), we process hashed versions of phone numbers to suggest connections.

B. Information Collected Automatically:

• Usage Data: How you interact with the app (quizzes taken, features used, time spent) and device information (type, OS, IP address) for analytics and performance.
• Advertising ID: We or our third-party advertising partners may use your device's advertising identifier to serve personalized ads within the app. You can reset this identifier in your device settings.

C. Information from Others:

• If a friend adds you to a squad, we will process your username to create the squad link and notify you.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and personalize the Piquee experience (e.g., recommend quizzes, show your squad's activity).
• Operate the social features: display your quiz results and badges to your squad, facilitate squad chats and PKs.
• Analyze aggregated, anonymous data to improve quizzes, fix bugs, and develop new fun features.
• Communicate with you about the app, new features, and squad activity.
• Serve relevant advertisements within the app.

3. Data Storage and Transfer

Your data is stored on secure servers. Our primary data infrastructure is located in Singapore. By using Piquee, you consent to this storage and transfer. We implement safeguards to protect your data.

4. Sharing of Information

A. Sharing You Control:

• Your quiz results, badges, and username are shared with members of any squad you join.
• Content you post in a squad chat is visible to all members of that squad.

B. Sharing We Do:

• Service Providers: We share data with trusted partners who help us operate (hosting, analytics, customer support, advertising networks). They must protect your data.
• Legal & Safety: We may share data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Piquee, our users, or the public.

C. We Do NOT Sell

Your personal data to third-party data brokers.

5. Your Rights and Choices

• Profile & Privacy Settings: Control who can add you to squads and see certain profile info in the app's settings.
• Leave a Squad: You can leave any squad at any time. This will remove your future activity from that squad's feed.
• Delete Account: You can permanently delete your account in the app settings. This will remove your profile and archive, and you will leave all squads.
• Ad Personalization: You can opt-out of personalized ads via your device settings (e.g., "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS).

6. Safety, Reports, and Blocking (UGC)

To help keep Piquee safe, we provide mechanisms to report objectionable content/users and to block abusive users:

• Reporting: If you see content that violates our rules, you can submit a report from in-app Report actions (for example in chat, circle messages, and friend action menus).
• Blocking: You can block users. Blocking prevents further interaction and helps reduce abusive behavior.
• Review & enforcement: We may review reports and take action (for example remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts) to protect our users.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our active systems. Some anonymized or backup data may be retained briefly for legal or operational reasons. Note that content you posted in squad chats may remain visible to other members after you leave or delete your account.

8. Children's Privacy

Piquee is intended for users age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. We'll notify you of significant changes in the app. Your continued use of Piquee after changes are posted means you accept the updated Policy.
